Iowa senior quarterback Ricky Stanzi was selected as the Big Ten’s Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

The Mentor, Ohio native completed 17-of-24 passes for 248 yards through the air, and tossed three touchdowns to zero interceptions in the Hawkeyes’ 38-28 win at Michigan last weekend. All three touchdown passes went to senior wide receiver Derrell Johnson-Koulianos, who became Iowa’s all-time leading receiver on his third score from 19 yards out.

Through six games this season, Stanzi has thrown 14 touchdown passes to only two interceptions. This comes after a 2009 campaign where he threw 17 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.

It was also announced Monday that Iowa’s game against Michigan State on Oct. 30 will be a 2:30 p.m. Central kickoff. This will mark the third consecutive week the Hawkeyes play in the conference’s 2:30 p.m. ABC/ESPN slot. No. 13 Iowa plays No. 10 Wisconsin at Kinnick Stadium on Oct. 23 at 2:30 p.m.
