IOWA CITY, Iowa — At halftime inside Kinnick Stadium, the No. 13 Iowa Hawkeyes lead the No. 10 Wisconsin Badgers, 13-10.

The game began with Wisconsin electing to receive after winning the coin toss, and the Badgers were able to strike on that opening possession when kicker Philip Welch connected on a 30-yard field goal to give Wisconsin a 3-0.

Iowa responded when running back Adam Robinson scored from one yard out. However, the score remained 6-3 after Wisconsin’s J.J. Watt blocked the extra point attempt by Michael Meyer.

The Badgers then scored again when quarterback Scott Tolzien found Bradie Ewing for a 7-yard strike in the second quarter to put Wisconsin ahead 10-6.

The Hawkeyes had a chance to trim the deficit to one point, but a bad snap and hold on a field goal attempt by Meyer stalled the Iowa drive. However, the defense forced a 3-and-out, and the Hawkeyes capitalized on their two-minute drive.

Iowa took the lead when quarterback Ricky Stanzi found tight end Allen Reisner for a 3-yard score with 16 seconds left in the half to put the Hawkeyes up. Wisconsin attempted to tie the game, but Welch missed from 67 yards out.
