IOWA CITY, Iowa — At halftime inside Kinnick Stadium, the Iowa Hawkeyes trail the Pittsburgh Panthers, 10-3.

The scoring began for Pittsburgh when quarterback Tino Sunseri completed a strike to wideout Devin Street for a 66-yard touchdown pass, giving the Panthers a 7-0 lead.

Pittsburgh would add a 37-yard field goal late in the first quarter to make it a 10-0 contest, but Iowa would respond, marching from its own 10-yard line to the Panthers’ 4-yard line before getting a 22-yard field goal in the second quarter from sophomore kicker Mike Meyer.

On the ensuing series, Pittsburgh would drive into Iowa territory, but Sunseri under threw an open wideout and saw his pass intercepted by junior Micah Hyde, who switched back to cornerback after starting the Hawkeyes’ first two games of the season at free safety.

The two teams would exchange punts and Iowa got the ball back with 2:51 remaining in the half, Meyer would attempt a 40-yard field goal, only to have it hit the left upright.
