In conjuncture with the Big Ten releasing its entire conference schedule for the 2013-14 college basketball season, the Iowa Hawkeyes revealed the entirety of their 2013-14 slate Wednesday afternoon.

After conducting its Black & Gold Blowout on Oct. 25 and hosting an exhibition game Nov. 3 against Augustana College, Iowa officially opens its season with a pair of home games on Nov. 8 against UNC-Wilmington and Nov. 10 against Nebraska-Omaha. The Hawkeyes will have a total of eight home games during non-conference play, which includes the Big Ten/ACC Challenge contest against Notre Dame on Dec. 3 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The five games away from Carver-Hawkeye Arena consist of the three games Thanksgiving weekend at the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas, the Big Four Classic showdown against Drake at Des Moines’ Wells Fargo Arena on Dec. 7 and the annual rivalry game against Iowa State, which will be played at Hilton Coliseum in Ames on Dec. 13.

One home game that will be part of the Battle 4 Atlantis is currently missing due to an opponent not being found. That game will be played on either Nov. 17, 18 or 19.

As for Big Ten play, the Hawkeyes open on New Year’s Eve at home against Nebraska in the only meeting between the two teams this season. Iowa’s first road contest comes Jan. 5 at Wisconsin, which will be noted for sophomore forward Jarrod Uthoff playing at the Kohl Center for the first time since transferring to Iowa from Wisconsin in 2012. Following a home contest against Northwestern on Jan. 9, the Hawkeyes will make a CBS appearance on the afternoon of Jan. 12 when they visit Ohio State. The month of January is rounded out with a home game against Minnesota on Jan. 19, a two-game road trip to Michigan and Northwestern and a “Super Tuesday” contest at home against Michigan State.

February is highlighted by a trip to Illinois on Feb. 1 (the night before Super Bowl XLVIII), followed by a two-game homestand featuring Ohio State and Michigan visiting Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Iowa will also play two single-play road contests against Penn State and Indiana, as well as face Wisconsin at home on Feb. 22 and play at Minnesota on Feb. 25.

The first weekend of March will feature Iowa’s only contest against Purdue, which will be played in Iowa City. The regular season then concludes with a trip to Michigan State on March 6 and “Senior Day” taking place the weekend of March 8-9 against Illinois. This season’s Big Ten Tournament will be played March 13-16 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind.
