Iowa senior guard Devyn Marble was among a group of five players that were all named consensus first team all-Big Ten by the media and coaches on Monday. Marble is the first Hawkeye to be named first team all-Big Ten since Adam Haluska during the 2006-07 season.

Marble was joined on the first team along with Michigan’s Nik Stauskas (who was also named Big Ten Player of the Year), Michigan State’s Gary Harris, Wisconsin’s Frank Kaminsky and Nebraska’s Terran Petteway, who edged out Marble for the Big Ten scoring title over the weekend.

In Big Ten play, Marble averaged 18.3 points (second), 3.5 assists (ninth) and 1.6 steals (sixth) per game. He also had an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.7 and shot 40.7 percent from 3-point range during 18 league games.

In addition, junior forward Aaron White was named consensus third team all-Big Ten on Monday. During Big Ten play, White averaged 13.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, with the latter leading the Hawkeyes for the third straight season and being good enough for third in the conference. White also had the fourth-best shooting percentage of any Big Ten player during league play, knocking down 53.4 percent of his shots.

Sophomore guard Mike Gesell was also recognized as Iowa’s honoree for the Big Ten’s Sportsmanship Award.
