TAMPA, Fla. — Iowa redshirt freshman quarterback C.J. Beathard completed 4-of-7 pass attempts for 55 yards, a touchdown and interception and also rushed for 11 yards on three carries in the Hawkeyes’ 21-14 loss to No. 14 LSU in the 2014 Outback Bowl played Wednesday at Raymond James Stadium. Beathard came in the game during the fourth quarter for an injured Jake Rudock.
