Here’s a rundown of what Iowa basketball fans can expect Tuesday night with the Prime Time League, which takes place at the North Liberty Community Center:

George Etre, Inc./Culver’s of Coralville (2-2) vs. Vinton Merchants/Hawkeye Title & Settlement (3-1)

6 p.m., Old Gym

Vinton Merchants/Hawkeye Title & Settlement rides a three-game winning streak into this contest with George Etre, Inc./Culver’s of Coralville, sitting alone in first place at 3-1. Meanwhile, for Etre/Culver’s, it comes off a key 94-82 victory over McCurry’s/Mike Gatens Real Estate, evening its record at 2-2 and now being in position for a first-place tie Tuesday night.

Vinton/Hawkeye features Iowa forward Devon Archie, who had six points and 10 rebounds in the team’s 98-83 win over Jill Armstrong of Lepic-Kroeger Realtors on June 29.

Etre/Culver’s has been led this summer by incoming freshman Melsahn Basabe, who had 29 points and 15 rebounds against McCurry’s/Gatens on June 29.

Bob’s Your Uncle & Monica’s/Iowa City Ready Mix (1-3) vs. McCurry’s/Mike Gatens Real Estate (2-2)

6 p.m., New Gym

Both of these squads come into Tuesday’s contest off disheartening defeats. McCurry’s/Gatens had a chance to be alone in first place last week, but instead lost its second straight game when Etre/Culver’s beat it, 94-82. As for Bob’s Your Uncle & Monica’s/Iowa City Ready Mix, it was simply blown out on June 29 by L.L. Pelling Company/Goodfellow Printing, 91-66, and sees itself currently sitting in the PTL cellar with a 1-3 record.

McCurry’s/Gatens features sophomore point guard Cully Payne, who has played well this summer even with the recent two-game losing skid his team faces. Against Etre/Culver’s, the Schaumburg, Ill., native managed to come away with a double-double, finishing with 15 points and 12 assists in defeat.

As for Bob’s/Ready Mix, the Hawkeye in the spotlight is incoming freshman Devyn Marble, who looks to have a much better performance on Tuesday after only mustering eight points against Pelling/Goodfellow last week on 3-of-17 shooting from the field.

L.L. Pelling Company/Goodfellow Printing (2-2) vs. Jill Armstrong of Lepic-Kroeger Realtors (2-2)

7:30 p.m., New Gym

These two teams enter their against each other with identical 2-2 records. But how they got to this point was different.

Pelling/Goodfellow is coming off a convincing 91-66 win last week over Bob’s/Ready Mix, 91-66. In that contest, sophomore Eric May put on a dominating performance, coming away with 22 points and nine rebounds. Incoming freshman Zach McCabe also contributed in the winning cause with 10 points and seven rebounds.

As for Jill Armstrong, a 98-83 loss to Vinton/Hawkeye was not what it had planned last week, and comes into this contest looking to rid itself of the losing taste. In the loss, junior Matt Gatens led the way with 34 points, along with six rebounds and five assists. Junior Andrew Brommer also had 13 points and four rebounds against Vinton/Hawkeye.
