Below is a podcast of my interview with Gary Dolphin on Saturday. Dolphin was the emcee at the 44th annual Golden Harvest, which was held at the IMU in Iowa City.

The event is put on by the UI Foundation and the National I-Club. Three different I-Clubs — Polk County, Dubuque County, and Kansas City Area — were recognized for their contributions to Iowa athletics. In addition, Dr. John Tyrell of Manchester was named the I-Club Volunteer of the Year, and Stew and LeNore Hansen of West Des Moines were selected as the Hawks of the Year.

After the awards ceremony that took place, both Iowa athletics director Gary Barta & head coach Kirk Ferentz spoke about the upcoming year. In between, there was a video montage put together to recognize Ferentz for the past decade of Iowa football.

Ferentz also revealed Saturday night that Iowa was voted second in the preseason Big Ten poll that officially comes out on Monday.

Among the topics discussed with Dolphin in the audio below were the event itself, as well as Dolphin’s thoughts on the upcoming 2010 season for the Hawkeyes.
