BREAKING NEWS: AP Poll puts Iowa at No. 9

The Associated Press’ annual preseason poll was released Saturday morning, and just like the Coaches poll that came out earlier this month, Iowa finds itself in the top 10.
When the 2010 season kicks off, the Hawkeyes will ranked No. 9 nationally. Iowa is one of two Big Ten teams in the top 10 and one of four Big Ten teams to be ranked in the season’s inaugural AP poll. Ohio State comes in at No. 2, while Wisconsin is No. 12 and Penn State ranks at No. 19.
Iowa was placed No. 10 nationally in the USA Today/Coaches Poll back on Aug. 6.
