Big Ten divisions announced

The Big Ten announced its future football divisions on Wednesday, and Iowa loses an annual rivalry with Wisconsin.
The Hawkeyes will be a division yet to be named with Michigan, Michigan State. Minnesota, Nebraska, and Northwestern, and will play all five teams annually. Iowa’s new “protected rival” will be Purdue, while the Hawkeyes also play Indiana and Penn State in both 2011 and 2012.
Below are Iowa’s 2011 and 2012 schedules. There will be more to come later tonight.
2011:
Sept. 3 – vs. Tennessee Tech
Sept. 10 – at Iowa State
Sept. 17 – vs. Pittsburgh
Sept. 24 – vs. Louisiana-Monroe
Oct. 8 – at Penn State
Oct. 15 – vs. Northwestern
Oct. 22 – vs. Indiana
Oct. 29 – at Minnesota
Nov. 5 – vs. Michigan
Nov. 12 – vs. Michigan State
Nov. 19 – at Purdue
Nov. 26 – at Nebraska
2012:
Sept. 1 – vs. Northern Illinois (at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill.)
Sept. 8 – vs. Iowa State
Sept. 15 – vs. Northern Iowa
Sept. 22 – vs. Central Michigan
Sept. 29 – vs. Minnesota
Oct. 13 – at Michigan State
Oct. 20 – vs. Penn State
Oct. 27 – at Northwestern
Nov. 3 – at Indiana
Nov. 10 – vs. Purdue
