A report in Sunday’s edition of The Des Moines Register revealed that the Iowa athletics department acknowledged NCAA recruiting violations coming from the Iowa men’s basketball program.

The report ties the violations to encounters two recruits had with former Hawkeyes Reggie Evans and Dean Oliver, as well as celebrities Ashton Kutcher (an Iowa native) and wife Demi Moore during the weekend of the Iowa-Iowa State football game, which happened on Sept. 11 at Kinnick Stadium.

Below is a link to the complete report published by The Des Moines Register on Sunday, which includes documents obtained via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery holds his first press conference of the 2010-11 season on Nov. 3, and the Hawkeyes play an exhibition game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Nov. 7 against Illinois-Springfield at 3:30 p.m. CST:
