One week after being arrested in Des Moines on a marijuana possession charge, sophomore running back Adam Robinson was dismissed from the Iowa foootball team, head coach Kirk Ferentz said in a release sent Monday afternoon.
Robinson’s arrest came the night before the Hawkeyes’ 27-24 win in the Insight Bowl over Missouri, and two weeks after he was suspended for the bowl game as a result of failing to meet team expectations. The Des Moines native also was benched the entire first quarter of Iowa’s game against on Nov. 20 against Ohio State for academic-related reasons.
