BREAKING NEWS: Heiar hospitalized following car accident

Iowa sophomore offensive lineman Dan Heiar has reportedly been hospitalized following a single vehicle accident that occurred over the weekend, according to a release sent from the UI on Monday. No further details were mentioned regarding the accident or have been revealed at this time.
Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz did briefly address the matter in a statement, and said details would come to light when deemed appropriate.
“Dan Heiar was in an accident this weekend and is currently hospitalized,” Ferentz said. “Our only concerns right now are Dan’s well-being and recovery.”
Heiar was a member of the Hawkeyes’ 2011 recruiting class after playing at Iowa Western Community College.
