As of Wednesday evening, 44 former Iowa players are currently on NFL rosters. Since last week, the Baltimore Ravens cut Kyle Calloway and placed Marcus Paschal on injured reserve, and the Atlanta Falcons cut Andrew Schulze. In addition, Kenny Iwebema re-signed with the Arizona Cardinals, and Albert Young is now a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Below is a list of this week’s preseason games in the NFL, with all but one game this weekend featuring at least one former Hawkeye. For those in Eastern Iowa, two NFL preseason games will be shown locally Saturday night. KFXA-TV (FOX affilate) will carry the Chicago Bears’ preseason game against the Tennessee Titans, while KGAN-TV (CBS affiliate) will have the Minnesota Vikings’ preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys on tape delay following CBS’ national broadcast of the preseason game between the New England Patriots and Detroit Lions.

Four preseason games will be televised nationally this weekend. Of interest, Bryan Bulaga and the Green Bay Packers visit Dallas Clark, Pat Angerer and the Indianapolis Colts in a preseason game airing on CBS Friday evening. Also of note, the third preseason game is typically “the dress rehearsal” when starters see the most playing time. NFL rosters need to trimmed down to 80 players by Aug. 30.
