Iowa freshman forward Aaron White was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the second time this season on Monday.

The announcement came following a week where White had scoring outputs of 17 points against Central Arkansas and 18 points against Boise State. Both games resulted in Hawkeye victories.

White had won the honor back on Nov. 14 after he became the first Iowa freshman to post a double-double with points and rebounds in his Hawkeye debut since Jess Settles in 1993 after he finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Chicago State.

Iowa opens Big Ten play on Dec. 28 at home against Purdue.
