CHICAGO, Ill. — Following his main press conference at the 2013 Big Ten Football Media Days, Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz held a smaller, much less magnified press conference with media at the Hilton Chicago on Wednesday. The Q&A session was approximately 30 minutes long.

Among the topics discussed were sophomore wideout Tevaun Smith, player health following summer workouts, experience along both lines and his reaction to the list from Sports Illustrated’s Stewart Mandel earlier this month that labeled him as one of the worst coaches in college football:
