Marble picks up Big Ten honor

Iowa senior guard was named the Big Ten’s Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Marble earned the honor after the 20th-ranked Hawkeyes picked up wins over both Northwestern and No. 3 Ohio State. Against the Wildcats on Jan. 9, Marble finished with 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting, six assists and four steals. On Sunday, he led Iowa to an 84-74 win over the Buckeyes by scoring 22 points on 7-of-13 shooting.
This is the first weekly honor picked up by an Iowa player in 2013-14 and it’s also the first time Marble has been named Big Ten Player of the Week in his career.
