No. 15 Iowa’s postponed game against Indiana will officially be made up on Feb. 27 at Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind., both schools announced Friday. It will start at 8 p.m. Central and be televised nationally on ESPN.

The Hawkeyes and Hoosiers were originally scheduled to meet there Feb. 18, but a 50-pound piece of metal debris fell from the Assembly Hall ceiling and damaged seats in one of the corner areas, prompting Indiana athletics director Fred Glass to postpone the game approximately five hours before tip-off.

In addition, Iowa’s home contest against Purdue previously set for March 1 will now take place on March 2 at 1 p.m. Central inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Originally, this game was listed as being played on either date before an announcement was made last week by the Big Ten.

“We appreciate the efforts of all those involved in working together during this process,” Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery said in a statement. “I especially would like to thank Purdue’s administration and Matt Painter for agreeing to move our game.

“Being able to move the Purdue game to Sunday allows us to have two days of preparation for both the Indiana and Purdue games next week.”

The Hawkeyes’ next game is Feb. 22 at home against No. 16 Wisconsin.
